Our TEC-Drive

We are proud to introduce our innovative TEC-Drive, a cutting-edge marine propulsion system designed by TEC Holland International. This advanced thruster system uses a fixed pitch propeller driven by a hydraulic motor, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in the most demanding marine environments.

Our TEC-Drive thruster offers unparalleled efficiency, safety, and manoeuvrability. One of the standout features of our TEC-Drive thruster is its ability to rotate 180 degrees. This unique capability, coupled with a twin thruster setup, provides complete directional control and precision, allowing your vessel to handle any navigational challenge with ease.

Additionally, propulsion-bridge-controls can be optionally included, giving you integrated and seamless control over your vessel’s propulsion system.

TEC-Drive Technical Specifications

Propeller and Tunnel Construction:

  • Thruster with manganese-bronze propeller in an aluminum tunnel section.
  • Hydraulic motor built in the pod directly connected to the propeller shaft.
  • Aluminum hydraulic tunnel thrusters are available from 30 hp (22 kW) up to 250 hp (187 kW) with tunnel diameters from 16 in. (406 mm) up to 36 in. (914 mm).

 

Control Systems (Optional):

  • Bridge Panel Features: The control systems include a joystick control and an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel, offering a variety of programmable features for enhanced control and flexibility.

 

Performance:

  • Optimal Operation: TEC-Drive thrusters are designed to be simple, quiet, and efficient, providing an exceptionally smooth operation. They deliver all the benefits of an ideal tunnel thruster, including precision and reliability.
 
TEC-Drive System – Hydraulic Outboard Propulsion Unit:
 
  • Versatile Applications: These thrusters are available from 30 hp (22 kW) to 250 hp (187 kW), with tunnel diameters from 16 inches (406 mm) to 36 inches (914 mm). They are designed for the main propulsion and positioning of barges, workboats, and river craft.
  • 180° Rotation: The units feature a 180° rotation capability, allowing for exceptional maneuverability and positioning flexibility.
  • Easy Conversion: The conversion of a barge or unpowered vessel to utilize TEC-Drive thrusters does not require modification of the hull, making it a cost-effective and straightforward upgrade.
